Job purpose

The Price Optimization Analyst will support Beacon’s Pricing Center of Excellence by supporting the development and maintenance of Beacon’s price optimization system. This position will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our pricing strategies, contributing to our company's success and growth. This role will leverage technology and partner with key functional areas to drive and deliver executional pricing resulting in organizational confidence in customer pricing.

Duties and responsibilities

Become a subject matter expert (SME) for Beacon’s Pricing System from a technical systems perspective and develop the ability to connect system capabilities with strategic business outcomes
Utilize software to analyze pricing data and develop insights into market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Develop and implement pricing models, leveraging advanced statistical and data science techniques to optimize pricing strategies.
Conduct thorough analysis and evaluations of pricing performance, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending actionable solutions.
Monitor market dynamics, industry trends, and competitor pricing strategies to stay informed about market changes and potential pricing opportunities.
Provide support in pricing decision-making processes, offering data-driven recommendations and insights to improve profitability and revenue.
Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of price optimization algorithms and models, making necessary adjustments as required.
Stay updated on emerging pricing technologies, tools, and methodologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the pricing analysis process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and modeling techniques.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or similar platforms.
Understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and customer segmentation.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient skill with Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of business acumen, financial concepts, and procedures

Working conditions

Minimal travel requirements as needed for business purposes
Work assignments may be completed remotely and/or available company offices/branches within respective markets

Physical requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or keyboard
Heavy methods of verbal and auditory communication via phone, virtual calls, and/or email
