Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Setting overall pricing strategy for the BU/region.
-
Identifying and executing the price target needed to meet the profitability goals of the business.
-
Reviewing deals and providing advice on improving pricing/profitability.
-
Setting pricing policies and designing approval workflows.
-
Price administration.
-
Price performance tracking and communication back to Sr management.
Setting Price Strategy:
-
Responsible for setting annual and quarterly pricing targets based on margin needs of the business.

Competitive intelligence gathering and developing specific counter strategies.
- Historical price analysis

Develop segment strategy, profitability analysis, optimization, rationalization.
Reviewing Deals and Providing Advice on Improving Pricing and Profitability:

Recommend on account level pricing, including deal structures.

Advice teams on contracts and pricing agreement structuring, and use of formula or index-based pricing when necessary.

Be a steward for preserving value of differentiated products and services.
Setting/Administering Prices and Policies:

Price List creation

New product pricing

Communication of price internally

Price Book management and update
-
Terms compliance tracking

Transactional price analytics

Exception approvals and monitoring

Price upload into SFDC or other future system
Performance Tracking:

Post-deal win/loss analytics

Qualifications:
Education:
-
MBA Preferred, BS degree in Finance, Marketing, or another business discipline.
Experience:
-
10+ year’s experience in any Chemical & Manufacturing plants and experience with pricing process is a bonus.

Strategic thinker and problem solver who has the ability to apply analytic solutions to business problems.

Strong time and people management skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills, ability to motivate team member.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across multiple teams- marketing, sales executives, senior management.

Strong written and oral presentation skills
Knowledge & Skills:

Industry and customer literate or ability to pick up Solenis markets and technologies quickly.

Knowledge of marketing and pricing fundamentals

Profitability and growth orientation; does not hesitate in challenging sales force when required; Willingness and mindset to get into details.

Sufficient financial skills to utilize the decision support systems to interface with the sales and marketing organizations to drive specific action plans and programs.
