A large, privately owned electronics manufacturing company is expanding and seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. Located in a 77,000-square-foot facility with approximately 120 employees, this is a great opportunity for growth.

Salary: $25.00-30.00/hr (DOE)
Position Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire
Schedule: Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (10-hour days with a 3-day weekend)

As an accounting clerk you will provide a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support.
Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers to collect past-due balances.
• Match invoices to sales orders and customer POs.
Accounts Payable (AP):
• Review, verify, and process invoices.
• Maintain accurate vendor, purchase order, and payment records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Match vendor invoices to packing lists and internal POs.
General Accounting:
• Perform general bookkeeping duties, including maintaining ledgers and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial data accuracy.
Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Assist in audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Additional Duties:
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, GAAP, and bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with ERP accounting software (Manex preferred) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook required).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
