Porter - 1st Shift (Part-Time) - $15.50/hr.PrideStaff is recruiting for a part-time Porter for a local hotel in Asheville. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hard worker with a positive attitude!Job Summary: Responsible for the cleanliness of the public and guest areas of the hotel, including the pool area and exterior. Assist in Housekeeping area as needed removing linens/towels from rooms or delivering stocking needed items.Duties and Responsibilities:• Responsible for the cleaning of corridors, guest areas, and service areas; vacuum, sweep, mop and dust.• Responsible for the cleaning of the parking lot; picking up trash, removing leaves, sweeping/clearing the sidewalks, removing cigarette butts, etc.• Responsible for cleaning the vending areas, elevators and stairwells.• Responsible for assisting with cleaning public restrooms several times a day.• Remove housekeepers trash bags to the dumpster.• Deposit linen down chute.• Turns mattresses as directed by Head Housekeeper.• Stock supplies for linen closets as needed.• Check and replace all public lighting; corridors, vending area, pool area, breakfast area and exterior. Report information to Maintenance as needed.• Clean the windows at each exit, breakfast area and meeting room; inside and outside.• Assist in the unloading of deliveries and the proper storage of such.• Assist housekeepers as instructed.Qualifications and Requirements:• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred• Previous experience as a housekeeper a plus• Strong attention to detail• Demonstrated communication and customer service skills• Must be capable of lifting, push, or pull up to 35 pounds• Must be capable of constant walking, lifting, bending and pushing• Must be able to work with cleaning products regularlyWhat's In It for You:• On the Bus line• Uniforms Provided• Bilingual FriendlyHours of Work: Must have open availability to work within the following schedule: Mon-Sat 8:30a-5:30p, Sun 8:30a-6:30pCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $15.50 - $15.50
