QA Technician

PrideStaff is looking for several QA Technicians for a manufacturing shop here in the Central ValleyPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:• Read shop prints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.• Audit all quality check procedures put in place, making sure they are followed/executed during every production phase.• Understand the importance of the production schedule and execute quality inspections that align with that schedule or managerial request.• Shows flexibility and open minded attitude toward change by accepting reassignments readily.• Ability to work closely with subcontractors, customer and external stakeholders.• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards, calibration, and testing methodologies for self and production team.• Accept or reject finished items.• Mark (red tag), quarantine and remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.• Maintain records of testing, information, internal rework NCP’s and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.Note: Duties and Responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, verbally or in writing.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Knowledge of metal(s) as it relates to production/fabrication.• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach• Interpret engineering drawings and shop prints in accordance with GD&T, Weld Call Outs, Tolerancing.• Ability to use and read precision measuring tools.• Demonstrated ability to solve math problems involving percentages and ratios.• High level verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to use a personal computer (database, spreadsheet, internet and word processing).• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface effectively with all levels of the organization.• Ability to use continual improvement tools to find root causes of quality non-conformance on production floor.• Needs to be aware of quality procedures.Education and Experience:• High School diploma/GED – required• Vocational training or AA - preferred• 5 to 10 years’ experience in manufacturing/fabrication or equivalent experience• 1 to 5 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector or relevant role– preferred• Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Principles a plusComments: Must be able to work overtime, and Saturdays as needed or required. Must be able to work various shifts.QA Tech Levels of Experience –Level 1 –• General inspection of incoming, in-process and final part/assembly.• Pass/Fail based on customer specifications.• Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken using the Customer Complaint (CC) and Non-Conforming Product (NCP) Process.• Enter inspection findings into ERP System.Level 2 –• Determine root cause for CC/NCP.• Help facilitate feedback loop to up-stream/down-stream teams.• Maintain calibration/calibration logs of all measuring equipment.• Maintain all NCP “Red Tag” Logs and disposition plan.Level 3 –• Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departments to improve overall company safety and product quality.• Create/Implement preventative measures to help prevent CC/NCP’s.• Conduct training on Quality Policies/Procedures.• Help to establish Quality Goals.• Assist with ISO9001 accreditation program management• Manage Calibration Program• Conduct ISO9001 Internal Audits• Conduct EMI Production Audits = Sample Audits• Complete Monthly Pareto AnalysisSchedule: Monday - Friday maybe Saturdays if required 7:30am - 4:00pmDuring hot months could work 6:00am - 2:30pmMust be open to different shiftsPay: $18.00 - $ 25.00 DOEFor immediate consideration please call PrideStaff 559-432-2022Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
