Position Location

This role is available in the following locations: NYC metro area, Bay Area, CA, or Los Angeles, CA.

Time Zone Requirements

The team operates in either East/West Coast time zones.

Travel Requirements

This team has regular onsite collaboration sessions. These occur several times per year and span consecutive days in the Bay Area, CA, Los Angeles, CA, or NYC office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Prime will cover all travel related expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer & Merchant Operations: Build and lead Customer Operations encompassing all processes, activities, and strategies. This will include onboarding platform partners, application review, customer success, loan servicing, and more.

  • Process Excellence: Lead efforts to build and streamline lending processes, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for merchant platform partners, borrowers, and bank partners. Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase speed and accuracy.

  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and overall performance of the company. Collaborate with leadership to align operational objectives with the overall business strategy. Operational Excellence will include but is not limited to Training & Quality, Process Excellence, Business Application Management, Planning, Forecasting & Workforce Management, as well as Operational Risk.

  • Internal Collaboration: Partner effectively with engineering, data science, finance, sales, and product, aligning towards cross-functional goals. Apply quantitative and qualitative insights on the viability of new initiatives.

  • Fraud Operations: Develop Fraud Operations to encompass Investigations, Disputes, Compliance Operations, as well as Fraud Servicing.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Spearhead relevant partnerships, including BPO Performance Management.

  • Compliance: Partner with legal and compliance to establish and maintain robust regulatory frameworks, develop SOPs, and ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to leverage innovative solutions and ensure that the lending platform is technologically advanced, secure, and scalable. This will include CRM integration and developing product requirements for Operations, Tooling, and Functionality.

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience & Educational Background: A minimum of eight years of Operational experience with demonstrated success in implementing and optimizing operational workflows in the FinTech lending space (Consumer or Commercial). A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated track record building and motivating high performing teams.

  • Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management.

  • Industry Insight: In-depth knowledge of the fintech landscape, particularly in lending or embedded finance. An existing network in the merchant and SaaS platform space would set you apart.

  • Technically Proficient: Comfortable liaising with technical teams to ensure seamless product integration. Understanding of API integrations and the technical aspects of embedded solutions is beneficial.

  • Collaborator: Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for collaborating across teams cross-functionally and driving alignment.

  • Experience in Commercial Lending.

  • Proven track record of building various functional areas from scratch.
