What You'll DoWe’re looking for an Actuarial or Financial Analyst to join our Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to impact our business in a meaningful way having a hand in all aspects of Pension Risk Transfer.• Oversight of ancillary annuity products from a pricing, illustration, and product development perspective.• Provide support for actuarial function and key initiatives of Principal Financial Services Bermuda.• Coding PRT pricing model enhancements, and supporting Individual Case pricing initiatives.• Developing data and analytics work related to assumptions.• Collaborating with multiple business partners, and communicating financial results to senior leadership and key partners across the Principal enterprise.• Assist in various product initiatives and enhancements.Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Our mission, integrity, and customer focus have made us a trusted leader for more than 140 years!Job LevelWe’ll consider talent at the following titles with the right experiences and skills: Actuarial Associate, Assistant Actuary, Financial Analyst IV and Financial Analyst V.Who You Are• Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance or related field.• 4+ years of relevant experience, pricing or coding experience preferred. Or successful completion of at least four courses in the education system of the Society of Actuaries.• A strong foundation in understanding actuarial concepts such as life contingencies, interest theory, and/or GAAP and STAT accounting.• Skill in R programming language (or similar – i.e. Python – with the ability to quickly learn R).• Self motivated with excellent problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required.• Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change.• Knowledge of Excel and VBA required.Skills That Will Help You Stand Out• Knowledge of Defined Benefit plans/valuation or PRT pricing (or similar products) strongly preferred.• Knowledge of SQL/Relational Databases and SAS programming preferred.Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$86450 - $144400 / yearTime Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
