Responsibilities:
This training program is designed to teach the skills necessary to operate a wide range of press and finishing equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a continuous improvement mindset and is detail oriented. This is a full-time, paid position to prepare for a career as a machine operator.

Learning Objectives:
  • Interpret and follow direction from a work ticket
  • Set up and operate: duplicators, letter press, cutters
  • Operate a variety of other equipment which may include digital presses, web and sheetfed presses, stitcher, folders, die cutters
  • Monitor product quality
  • Trouble shoot and perform equipment adjustments and repairs as needed
Qualifications:
Skills & Educational Requirements:
  • Ability to read a ruler
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
  • Ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment
  • Ability to operate computer based technology
  • Self-motivated with strong mechanical trouble shooting abilities
  • High School education or equivalent professional experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant standing and/or moving around
  • Ability to ascend steps
  • Manual dexterity
  • Frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Frequently squat or kneel
  • Frequently bend
