Privacy Data Strategy Manager

Job Title: Privacy Data Strategy Manager


Job Location: Hershey, PA


This position is open to a 100% remote


Summary: The Manager of Marketing Data Strategy is the subject matter expert supporting brand marketing, B2B, consumers insights, and direct marketing teams as it relates to the most effective, efficient, and compliant ways to manage and use first party and other sensitive data. She/he owns the enterprise strategy for consumer relationship management which includes governance, effectiveness, and training.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the developing and advancing strategies, plans, and systems to effectively manage and activate on first party data.
  • Develops and owns consumer and B2B customer data strategy for the organization including best practices and policies for data acquisition, retention, and enrichment.
  • Manage multiple engagements with marketers to ensure all processing of personal data is identified.
  • Partner with marketers to understand the details of their data processing and alignment with business objectives.
  • Research policy implications of marketing activities. Provide privacy and strategic guidance to marketers and help identify areas of potential non-compliance.
  • Draw insights and identify opportunities to improve privacy program operations.
  • Work with brand and other marketing teams on operationalizing data collection and promotions.
  • If needed, partner with leadership on investigation and resolution of marketing related privacy incidents.
  • Partner with Sr. Manager of Digital Strategy & Compliance on overall digital marketing strategic roadmap.

Skills/ Competencies/ Qualifications:


  • 5+ years’ experience leading digital marketing, marketing operations, or marketing adjacent compliance programs.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and processes at once.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders from cross-functional teams.
  • Proven communication, influencing, training and other consultative skills.
  • Ability and desire to learn, grow, and adapt to an ever -hanging compliance landscape.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights.
  • Previous experience with Adobe Experience Platform, OneTrust, or other applicable systems preferred.

Minimum Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT certifications preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or other applicable advanced degree preferred.
