Position Highlights
The Washington County Circuit Courtin Hillsboro, Oregon, is hiring a Probate Clerk (Court Operations Specialist) to join our team in the Probate unit.
In this role, you will file new cases related to probate estates, small estates, protective proceedings, identity records, and trusts. You will perform data entry for daily filings, route documents as needed, docket signed orders, and enter disposition judgments. You will manage cases by monitoring case reports, determining the status of case compliance, preparing, reviewing, and mailing correspondence, tracking case requests, and referring non-compliant cases to the probate commissioner.
Additionally, you will scan documents and process paperwork and mail. Part of your time will be spent providing customer service—by phone, in person, and in writing—to judges, court staff, attorneys, agencies, and the public.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position.
OR
Any combination of education and experienceequivalent to four (4) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
