G

eneral Summary T

he Broken Arrow Service Engineering department assists or leads several important functions within the Broken Arrow Process and Treating technical group. The Service Engineering team is responsible for troubleshooting Enerflex products installed in the field, assisting Enerflex international operations, providing technical oversight for other engineering groups, and serving as a Process and treating product expert resource. An ability to adapt and pivot from one type of task to another on short notice is important for working in this group. Excellent problem solving skills and collaboration on solutions is also an important element to the service engineering team. T

his position if for an experienced process engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience. The job will involve providing process engineering support and technical authority for the Service Engineering team located in the United States. Position will be based in the Exterran Broken Arrow, OK office and will provide support for both external and internal customers in the form of process simulation, troubleshooting, technical support for upgrades, debottlenecking studies, and completion of engineering service requests. This position will support any process related technical requests made to the service engineering group and will interact with the field engineers, local operations teams, the P&T engineering functions, and the warranty group as necessary. Travel to sites for direct support will be occasionally required. I

t will also provide an opportunity to collaborate with other experienced engineers on a variety of challenging technical problems. A chemical engineering degree is preferred, but other BS engineering degrees will be considered. T

rinciple Duties & Responsibilities A

  • nitial process work and scope development for upgrade and retrofit proposals P
  • erforms debottlenecking and optimization work for external customers as assigned. P
  • erforms site visits for troubleshooting and technical services as assigned.

&T Process Engineering Support C

  • ompletes P&T related engineering service requests as assigned. R
  • eview and development of new engineering tools and standards. P
  • articipates in Hazops and design reviews for new plant projects as needed M
  • entor less experienced engineers as needed.
  • B

alance of Plant (BOP) Execution Support A

  • ssists with scope development on sold projects that include BOP B
  • OP equipment specification and quote evaluation A
  • ssists with preparation of engineering deliverables for BOP equipment S
  • upport new facility commissioning as needed with review of startup procedures, technical advice, and troubleshooting with emphasis on BOP equipment.

equired Qualifications and Experience: B

  • .S. Degree in Chemical Engineering 1
  • 0 Years Gas Processing or Related Oil and Gas Industry Experience E
  • xtensive Process Simulation Experience P
  • roficient with Process Engineering Related documents: PFDs, P&IDs, material balances, equipment datasheets, equipment lists, line lists, cause and effect lists, and process control narratives. S
  • trong knowledge of vessel sizing, pump curves, heat exchanger performance, distillation towers + tower internals, basic process control, and hydraulic calculations.

  • rocess simulations of gas processing facilities using HYSYS. A
    • bility to utilize HYSYS to model plant performance based on historian data/HMI screenshots. Rate/derate existing equipment based on screen match model. D
    • evelop new methods and techniques within a simulation environment to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. E
    • stablish company procedures for best practices, critical choices, and methods of analysis within HYSYS or equivalent simulation environments. 1
  • 0+ Years Gas Processing or related oil and gas E
  • xtensive knowledge of turbo expander gas plants, amine treating, dehydration, refrigeration plants, and fractionation. S
  • trong experience with on-site troubleshooting of process and mechanical issues in gas processing facilities or related facilities. Understand not-to-exceed limits and critical process variables . Ability to recommend operating changes based upon data reviewed. Insight to recommend an optimized solution by balancing competing factors. A
  • bility to design and check rate primary unit operations including: distillation towers, shell and tube heat exchangers, brazed aluminum heat exchangers, expander-compressors, pumps, reciprocating compressors, air coolers, and separators. E
  • xperience with HAZOP, Cause & Effect, and Design Review O
  • perations experience within a gas processing and treating facility. W
  • orking knowledge of balance of plant engineering.

orking Conditions F

ast-paced general office environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Domestic and international travel is possible on occasion.
