BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity as a Procurement & Contract Specialist or a Sr Procurement & Contract Specialist that can be based out of one of the following locations: Richmond, VA, Bridgeport, WV, Columbia, SC or Lusby, MD. Flexible work arrangements including a hybrid work schedule may be available and is not guaranteed.

In this role you will

• Purchase and manage moderately complex agreements for materials equipment, and services.
• Identify, solicit, evaluate and award bids for supplier quotations proposals and product descriptions.
• Negotiate, award and implement contracts and purchase orders.
• Support identification and implementation of cost improvements for purchased materials and services.
• Communicate with field and project personnel to evaluate compliance with purchase contracts.
• Resolve problems regarding material delivery price discrepancies quality issues invoice discrepancies and/or adjustments.

Sr Procurement & Contract Specialist

5+ years related experience

• Knowledge of MRP, ERP, purchasing and logistics systems and processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of materials and services delivery fulfillment processes.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  Bachelor (typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
