Producer, Sr.

The Arthrex Communications Department, based at the company’s global headquarters in Naples, Florida, is growing and looking to add a Producer, Sr. to join the Corporate Communications team. Main Objective: Oversees video pre-production, production, and post-production process for Medical Education, Marketing, Product Development, Human Resources and other departments. Schedules and ensures proper utilization of organization's resources, facilities and personnel for production. Produces videos from the beginning to the end, from set-up and filming, through direction, production, final editing, and file management. Understanding of the technology and tools used to create effective video projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates and oversees video production process:
Studio Production

Works in collaboration with Product Management, Medical Education, Meetings and Events, Consulting Surgeons and Production Staff to produce a variety of video products.

Plans and directs assigned studio productions, operates cameras, audio mixers and studio lighting.

Coordinates audio/visual support of the Medical Education department during in-house events.

Field Production

In cooperation with other staff, coordinates pre-production and production planning activities.

Conducts field-based video production which involves interacting with surgeons and hospital staff and operating of portable video and audio equipment.

Transports and sets up lighting and audio equipment as required.

Provides limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment.

Handles A/V needs for tradeshows, off-site labs and remote offices.

Understands and follows all necessary guidelines for sterile field/OR protocol during live surgical recordings.

Post-Production

Plans, performs and oversees video post-production tasks which includes reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction.

Creates digital signage and special effects for video post-production in accordance with the overall production concepts and in compliance with the corporate style guide and brand identity.

Provides project direction for producing, editing and final format, including planning and management of project timelines.

Interviews and hires team of A/V technicians and videographers.

Manages, mentors, trains staff, provides performance reviews, appraises performance and resolves conflict.

Sets goals and objectives for team members and acts as a visionary and coach.

Monitors and provides recommendations for improvement of video production process.

Maintains a schedule of productions to complete and regularly communicates progress to management team.

Plans and develops top-quality video productions of live surgical procedures, cadaveric labs, live internet broadcasts and didactic presentations.

Collaborates in the creative design and media production process including proposing unique creative concepts for future projects.

Trains and mentors A/V staff in the operation of audio-visual equipment and video/sound editing.

Responsible for the proper use, storage, maintenance and upgrading of all editing, camera, lighting and sound equipment.

Executes professional video productions to communicate educational, inspiring and engaging customer and internal communication needs.

Researches, identifies and consults on the use of external resources (e.g. video production agency, freelancers, talent, etc.).

Responsible for selection, installation and maintenance of A/V equipment in corporate conference and training rooms.

Must be able to travel up to 20%

Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Film/Television or related field preferred

8 years’ experience in video and audio production is required

Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Creatively plans and translates abstract concepts into effective visual form.

Works with other technical and non-technical staff to organize and implement recording of instructional, marketing or education related projects.

Adapts video products to fit needs of target audience.

Thorough knowledge of and proficiency with control room switching and monitoring equipment.

Optimizes workflow techniques to manage complex video projects effectively and efficiently.

Able to take original footage from concept phase to final output.

Researches and remains current on the developments and applications of state of the art video production technology.

Communicates effectively with individuals and groups.

Meets deadlines and manages multiple priorities.

Ability to work under pressure, adheres to tight deadlines and produces within budget.

Initiative, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Team player and willingness to collaborate.

Knowledge of marketing and visual branding is a plus.

Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology is a plus.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Experience working with video cameras, lighting and audio equipment for professional production. Final Cut Pro. Sedna Presenter.
