As a Product Design intern you'll contribute to the entire design process from discovery, prototyping, to implementation. You’ll be critical in crafting long-term vision and determining the steps to get there. At Flux, we view great design as a competitive advantage. You’ll be designing a tool that users will use every day to build awesome hardware. That means that you’re obsessed with creating simple, intuitive, and enjoyable experiences that delight users and make their lives easier. You’re able to take complex and ambiguous problems and distill them into elegant and actionable design solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Take projects from rough ideas to final visual specifications

• Work with teams across the Flux organization to design features, components, marketing assets, and updates to the central design system

• Work with Brand to establish and document best practices across product and marketing

• Thoroughly document and present work and progress to our partners to validate their needs and adoption

🎯 You might be a good fit if you have

• Passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging customer experiences

• Comfort with an iterative design process

• Interest in developing information architecture, interactive prototypes, and documentation that supports design systems

• Familiarity with Figma

• Interest in product and UI design; knowledge of user experience best practices

• A knack for navigating ambiguity; we’re a small early-stage startup!

• Have a technical understanding of how your designs translate to code
