This position is part of Parker's Electronic Motion & Controls Division (EMC) which provides technologies that create and control motion to customers across a wide range of applications and industries. Position Summary

This position will be part of the Connected Products Center of Excellence (CoE) and the Internet of Things (IoT) team. They will be responsible to provide product management direction to increase sales and profits through development of product strategies. Coordinate communication involving products and applications between divisions, customers, and end users. The role will work cross functionally within our team and across EMC division to create compelling websites, product brochures, training materials. They will work with pricing, sales and order management to set costs and sale prices while considering value pricing and competitive analysis.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Establish product development materials to assist field sales in achieving profitable volume
• Collects and prioritizes feature requests from customers and internal stakeholders
• Make recommendations and evaluations on new product opportunities as outlined in the Winovation process
• Participate in new product development teams as part of Winovation process
• Support field sales with information on products and applications
• Assist in conducting periodic market evaluations and competitive analysis of product lines
• Assist in preparation and execution of advertising and promotional programs
• Develop and revise product line literature, catalogs, technical bulletins, etc
• Facilitate exchange of information between engineering and sales
• Assist in development of pricing strategies
• Assist in development of product positioning strategies
• Monitor activities for continuous improvements in productivity and cost reductions
• Assist in creation of roadmaps

Qualifications

• Student must be currently pursuing a in engineering, computer science or business discipline. Pursuing a Master's degree preferred.
• Strong computer reporting skills, including Microsoft Office Applications, SAP, Power BI
• Strong communication skills: compelling verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving skills with a team focus
• Familiar with Parker Mobile IoT or 3rd party IoT solutions or Parker components a significant advantage
• Knowledge of CAN bus protocol is a plus
• Knowledge of Azure or similar environment a plus
• Positive attitude with passion for growth, can-do approach to obstacles
• Able to work in a flexible environment both remote and on site in Elk Grove Village as conditions require
