The Product Manager for Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CICD) is responsible for defining, evolving and executing a product strategy for our internal Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment platform that will deliver increasing operational efficiencies and developer experience.
Summary
The Product Manager - CICD is the primary product owner responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering high-value feature releases aligned with the organization's product vision and strategy. They drive ongoing team learning, manage cross-functional dependencies, and maintain one or more product roadmaps.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience and success in leading internal product initiatives of a highly technical nature, as well as previous exposure to a modern cloud-based infrastructure.
What You'll Do
Product Discovery: Engages internal Workiva experts to gain an understanding of key challenges that represent opportunities for Workiva products or solutions. Using this knowledge, the product manager collaborates with the product team and iteratively defines a solution ranging from a small feature enhancement to an entire product component.

Meets with existing and potential users to identify key challenges

Gets feedback from a range of existing users on whether new solutions that will optimally address their needs

Meets with customer to clarify pain points and walk through product iterations in the course of development to ensure product development is on track to meet user needs

Document key uses cases to help the team understand the problems

Document journey maps, story maps, and other artifacts to provide context to the product development teams

Ensures final product meets customer requirements
Management of Products: Defines scope of work, builds empathy within the team, assigns work, establishes time frames for completing work, and manages process through to product completion

Partners with Engineering Manager and Principal Architect to scope out the product and establishes pathways for team to develop the product

Writes out user-based stories for what the product needs to do and assigns work based on required features

Scopes out JIRA tickets that need to be executed to complete the development work

Charts and monitors progress toward product completion for each component and the final product

Establishes milestones and maximizes value delivery

Coordinates work with other software development and infrastructure teams to incorporate product components in the final product
What You'll Need
Experience

Requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience in product management role in software development or related area with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience

Experience delivering software in an Agile development environment using continuous deployment techniques

Cloud based infrastructure background

Involvement with products of a highly technical nature

CICD experience and knowledge a huge plus
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Up to 20% travel, occasionally more during product launches

Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.
How You’ll Be Rewarded:
$102,000.00 - $173,000.00
