About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Product team and work on exploring, shaping, and building the future of small business products. As a Product Manager, you will have the support, sponsorship, and mentorship of a Senior Product Manager. Product Managers will work directly with engineering, design, operations, compliance, and other teams. At Novo, we believe in product discovery and definition as much as we do development and delivery. Responsibilities:

  • Driving and defining your product roadmap on a continuous basis by speaking to customers, discovering opportunities, and evaluating the impact on business outcomes
  • Creatively testing assumptions and ideas using surveys, prototypes, and data, to quickly build or remove confidence in solutions
  • Prioritizing solutions and working with design and engineering resources to deliver them from start to finish
  • Collaborating extensively with external stakeholders on opportunities and solutions
  • Developing product documentation including specifications, wireframes, site maps, and process flows
  • Performing end-to-end data analysis on product fit and any launch impacts to our user base
  • Work closely with product marketing to promote any offerings
  • Building your skillset to eventually lead a specific domain with dedicated engineers and designers

Requirements for the Role:

Things you're good at

  • Product management experience in financial products with knowledge and understanding of ACH, card processing, check processing, lending, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience building product features that are in the flow of funds.
  • 5-7 years product management experience in mobile and/or web apps
  • Ability to create detailed specifications including core and edge cases; able to get features scoped, built, launched, and adopted efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical teams- take complex problems and opportunities and turn them into tactical projects
  • Highly self-reflective - demonstrates ability to learn and grow in their position: reflects on past work and figures out how to improve the next time

How We Define Success:

  • Improve UX on a particular feature for maximum NPS/CSAT
  • Migrating to a new vendor/system to unlock new capabilities and better UX

Nice to Have, But Not Required:

  • Technical background in a software engineering role, or have relevant technical experience.
  • Understanding of how worker queues function, you can read API docs and suggest implementations, and you can also jump in and write some code if needed.
  • Fintech & SaaS company experience
  • Vendor selection experience
  • Lives or dies on if someone is buying your product
