Vector Solutions is seeking a Product Manager to guide cross functional teams that are charged with product line contributions. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products. The Product Manager will identify, prioritize, document, elaborate and guide the effort required to create product, documentation, collateral and demonstrations. The Product Manager serves as subject matter expert in all things related to the use of the product, its place in the market, the competitive landscape and product positioning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create functional software products, marketing requirements and specifications, prioritize feature/content, build consensus, facilitate communication, and build/manage product roadmap.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of products and other complementary technology.
  • Perform market research to understand target markets.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, including preparing feature, content, and pricing comparisons to aid the sales team.
  • Develop product positioning, pricing, channel, and marketing strategies.
  • Partner with engineering, QA and documentation teams to ensure that designs and completed product features meet customer expectations and market demands.
  • Assist in the coordination with other departments of release deliverables and critical launch activities to enable timely and effective product releases.
  • Participate and lead daily stand up meetings, product reviews, elaborations.
  • Prepare concise and accurate written responses to technical inquiries associated with sales proposals, marketing presentations, training materials and product documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of sales demos.
  • Attend industry meetings and participate in public safety association activities.
  • Help initiate, develop, and maintain product partnerships.
  • Recruit and manage industry subject matter experts.
  • Leads Product Advisory Boards with customers and industry influencers.
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years as a product manager for technical products or complimentary product experience.
  • 5+ years Product Management in Agile Development Environment.
  • Pragmatic Marketing Framework experience preferred.
  • Kanban and/or Scrum process experience working with Engineering teams preferred.
