MarkUp is the leading visual commenting platform for websites, PDFs and images. It's the perfect companion in your creative process to bring teams together, helping close the feedback loop for anyone that works with multiple collaborators on a project.

Within just 2 years, we have signed up over 250,000 users and won Product Hunt Product of the Year in 2020. 2022 is already looking to be a bright year for MarkUp as we grow out our nimble product team.

Our customers include some of the world's leading brands such as Verizon, Herbalife, Getty Images, BDO, Colliers, AIG, Rosetta Stone, Johnson & Johnson, and Dolby.

We are owned and operated by our parent company Ceros — a design platform that empowers the creation of bespoke, immersive digital experiences without code. We are remote first forever with a 4½ day workweek that finishes every Friday at 1pm.

The Role

We seek a badass product marketer with a background in digital and SaaS able to take a complex idea and turn it into a methodical, structured campaign. This role will touch on everything from content marketing to landing page optimization, to ideas to improve the user flow from the website to specific conversion and adoption points within our platform. You don't have to have experience in everything but should have a strong product-oriented mindset and a stronger opinion about using different touchpoints to drive business goals. MarkUp already has over 250,000 users, but we are ready to grow to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the product champion within the marketing team: stay up-to-date with the roadmap, updates, and timelines
  • Work closely with Product Managers on targeted research, and user testing as part of roadmap development and execution
  • Collaborate with our Community Manager to strengthen our customer and stakeholder feedback loops
  • Pair up with our Content Marketer to create content that impacts prospective buyers at different stages: from discovery, to feature adoption, and advocacy
  • Help craft the value proposition for each new feature
  • Continuously analyze and update audience segments based on aggregated data
  • Create a competitive analysis and landscape program that informs product strategy
  • Convey product knowledge back to the marketing team sharing actionable insights to inform lead generation and adoption campaigns
  • Find opportunities to increase feature adoption through targeted touch points (inside and outside of the platform)
  • Ensure the rest of the marketing team has a clear understanding of new and existing features, and that the internal documentation is up-to-date

Practical stuff we anticipate you having

  • 5 years of product marketing experience at a SaaS company
  • Experience in PLG environment will be considered a plus
  • Solid market research and interviewing skills
  • Ability to translate technical details for a relatively non-technical audience
  • Preference for a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player who works well with executives and peers
  • Experience working with Google Analytics, Mixpannel, Pendo, or similar software
  • Experience working with Hubspot and creating segmented workflows is a plus
