Product Marketing Manager - Music

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced product marketing manager to join the Creator Marketing team – Spotify’s division dedicated to helping artists thrive by providing the most valuable tools to create music, build an audience, monetize their fans, and ultimately live off their work. 


Spotify for Artists is used by more than a million artists each month to get insights, reach new listeners, and deepen the connection with their audience. Core to Spotify for Artists are tools that allow artists to express themselves in new ways to fans alongside their music — creating powerful moments of artist-fan connection, only on Spotify. Building upon the momentum of visual tools like Canvas, Countdown Pages, and Spotify Clips, you will lead product marketing and go-to-market strategy for upcoming video features that allow artists to express themselves in unique ways, so they can reach their full creative potential and grow their audience.


In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team from Product, Design, Engineering, Product Insights, Comms, and Music Partnerships, as well as the rest of Marketing to bring new artist expression tools on Spotify to market — from concept, all the way through testing, launch, and adoption stages. From working with our internal teams to understand and build for artist needs, to building powerful marketing campaigns to inspire artists to use our tools in new ways, you’ll be instrumental in creating the future of how music is experienced by fans.


What You'll Do


  • Own the go-to-market strategy (including targeting, messaging and channel strategy) for developing new video products and features in Spotify for Artists, partnering on all stages of product development from discovery and ideation to launch and adoption.
  • Be an advocate for Spotify artists, partnering with design and product insights on identifying and understanding user needs, behaviors and pain points. Act as the leading internal expert on the competitive environment.
  • Create and drive a holistic internal and external communication strategy around new artist expression tools, in coordination with the rest of the Creator Product Marketing team.
  • Develop and launch campaigns alongside the rest of the Creator Marketing team to bring key messages to the Spotify for Artists user base. 
  • Coordinate across all cross-functional partners — including artist & label partnerships, licensing, legal, and support — ensuring feedback is prioritized and ultimately leads to a better product for creators. 
  • Partner with data scientists to understand the performance of your campaigns and identify new opportunities of focus for the future.


Who You Are


  • You have proven experience in product marketing. 
  • You’re a compelling storyteller who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types.
  • You’re passionate about the opportunity to better serve artists & their teams. You love music.
  • You’ve launched and driven adoption for new products and services, owning and achieving key success metrics.
  • You have experience with video/ content ingestion tools or introducing new ways for creators to connect with fans, especially in the music space.
  • You’re collaborative by nature and get energy from building cross-functional teams and bringing people together.
  • You’re comfortable developing marketing strategies using both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • You have strong personal organization and project management abilities.

The United States base range for this position is $102,981 - $147,116, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
