Overview

As a leader within the Technology and Product Management Team you will join a tightly knit and high performing group of industry veterans shepherding complex and highly integrated products to market.

As a Product Owner for Unified Communications Intelligent Video here at Crestron, you will assist with the development of Automate VX the industry leading multi-camera Intelligent Video solution that seamlessly integrates with full stack conferencing solutions from concept through release in a dynamic, creative, and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include product planning, writing and implementing product requirements, championing the product through the development life cycle, and will continue through supporting the product with Customer support after the product is released. You will be expected to become an expert on Automated Camera experiences AI/ML and Crestron’s devices integration.

This position is Hybrid or 100% onsite in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Champion the product through the development lifecycle and market launch
• Author detailed use cases and product requirements for the engineering team to execute.
• Prioritize and Groom Defect backlog.
• Manage and maintain the product backlog by working with product managers to ensure prioritization based on market needs and development capacity.
• Research and respond to industry trends, competitive offerings, and potential disruptors.
• Evaluate products and technologies from potential partners and competitors.
• Identify opportunities for value - add capabilities in hardware and software to drive differentiation in the market.
• Collaborate closely with the Software Development team, and technology partners

Qualifications

• A passion for developing innovative solutions that combine hardware and software to address a customer need.
• An engineering mindset with proven trouble-shooting skills
• 3-5 years of experience with unified communications solutions from major providers such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, BlueJeans or Cisco WebEx.
• Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects.
• Be able to research and become an expert on new technologies relevant to the product line.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with good time management and the ability to lead team meetings, set expectations, hold people accountable for delivering the expected product.
• Team player with visible company spirit. Demonstrable ability to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders, end-users, and co-workers alike.
• Ability to be hands-on and engage with sales and customers to see how our products are getting installed/applied and be able to translate that experience into a better product.

Ideal Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Sciences
• Experience in product management in a technical capacity a plus
• Familiarity with using Jira is a plus
• Experience with video or audio production a plus
