We are seeking a full-time Product Quality Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and driving the investigation of field quality issues to facilitate product quality improvements.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Exercise independent judgment to ensure field issues are documented to an appropriate level based on the analysis of the complexity and potential severity of the issue by working with the issue reporter and field interfacing teams/roles
Determine a path for issue investigation through engineering groups and business organizations
Identify, analyze and interpret product quality data to assess issue criticality and guide issue investigation and resolution
Interpret and analyze engineering responses to issues and determine if further investigation is required or additional information is needed
Formulate the appropriate communication for issue resolution status and work with business organizations to determine and take appropriate mitigation action based on the impact to the customer and business
Identify and implement process enhancements for managing field issues
Develop and deliver quality reports to the project teams as well as lead issue review and prioritization meetings
Provide analytic support in connection with the development and implementation of quality tools to aid in data management and issue resolution
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Business or a technical discipline OR a minimum of 4 years relevant experience AND a minimum of 15 hours college business coursework
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Demonstrated success in solving difficult problems
Excellent time management, follow-up and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
Working knowledge of Garmin products
Demonstrated ability to work across functional and organizational boundaries
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated flexibility and a commitment to meeting deadlines
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential company matters
Demonstrated proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Desired Qualifications
5+ years relevant experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL
Previous exposure to data analysis and quality assurance methodology
