We’re looking for an amazing Production Artist II to support our sister brand, Cunard. Cunard is one of the oldest and most famous ocean liners in the world. You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering brochures/collateral, HTML banner ads, HTML emails, eFlyers, postcards, and direct mail pieces. Support the Marketing, Sales, and Public Relations teams for additional design requests including invitations, web banners, print, and digital assets. Through design drive consumer and trade marketing initiatives that generate bookings for Cunard, while positioning the brand distinctively in the luxury travel marketplace. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to drive consumer engagement through design.

Responsibilities
- Creative Development
- Proven experience producing HTML5 display advertising banners. This includes knowledge of the feature set used to design the creative variations to ensure ads can be distributed in different browsers and across the entire Google Display Network (including mobile).
- Develops new/custom designs for non-standard communications projects, consistent with Cunard brand guidelines including; program logos, and signage.
- Assesses and performs revisions and corrections throughout the production process, requesting clarification as needed
- Ensures adherence to brand positioning, messaging strategies, and graphic standards guidelines on all projects, including strategic image selection to align with the promoted product and audience
- Project Management and File Delivery
- Maintain efficient workflow: adhere to project schedules, review and resolve routing comments, suggest time-saving methods and procedures to simplify workflow processes
- Liaise effectively with the project lead and/or supervisor impacting the projects
- Delivers consistently on commitments to external and internal customers by meeting specified assignment deadlines and following directions.
- Prepares final files for release and transfer to pre-press and print vendors
- Directs outside vendors involved in the production process providing production notes outlining specifics on special handling or use of applications to design studios, pre-press houses and printers.
- Occasional review of pre-press materials, including final electronic files, patch-color, composed color and blue-line drawings.
- Converts paginations into electronic templates and style sheets.
- Archives final mechanicals and forwards any newly developed design elements to designated team member for incorporation into asset management systems.
- Initiate continued education in software and CRM Design tools and platforms like Movable Ink
- Identify industry trends through the promotional efforts of competing cruise lines and other members of the travel industry and share findings with the team
- Participates in weekly meetings with Marketing Team, to assess status of existing in-house projects and review parameters of new projects.

- Exhibits strong fundamentals of digital and print design
- Has a keen eye for color and composition
- Delivers according to all product specifications and carefully reviews work with exceptional attention to detail
Requirements
- Associates Degree required. Completion of some college, associate degree or trade schoolwork (preferably in Fine Arts) or equivalent work experience would be considered.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Four years of experience in print and electronic file production positions preferred.
- Proficiency with the development of electronic communications and HTML required; exposure to webpage design a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of InDesign, QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is required
- Solid experience in building HTML5 standard and dynamic email templates
- Experience with producing storyboard frames into HTML5 animated display ad banners is required. This includes CSS/JavaScript techniques for smooth adaptability to different devices/browsers and tracking tags implementation.
- Editing video footage and adding effects/elements including end cards preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and track record of interfacing with employees, management, creative agencies and suppliers
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to accuracy and detail, while working in a team or group environment

- Base Hourly Range: $25.58 to $34.52. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base hourly salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
