Assembles large and heavy parts to complete units or subassemblies. Performs a variety of specialized assembly operations, such as riveting and welding. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other special equipment to perform assembly operations. May refer to technical drawings, engineering notices, etc.
Under general supervision, performs repetitive or standard production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Works from simple drawings or diagrams and may use hand or power tools, jigs, and saws. May make continuity checks on completed assemblies and conduct quality inspections on processing line.
High school diploma or GED preferred
Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
Exert up to 30 pounds of force frequently
Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience
