Production Coordinator

BrainPOP's content team needs your help! Our core content-animated, educational shorts for kids, plus associated features-depends on the collaboration of dozens of writers, animators, voice actors, learning designers, and assorted other contributors. You will be the liaison between all of these stakeholders, helping us juggle competing priorities while keeping each project on track and within scope.

Responsibilities will include (in no particular order):

• Maintaining a production calendar/deadlines, from pitch to publication
  • Helping to establish the scope of a project at its outset to set a reasonable deadline; adjusting deadlines as necessary as the project progresses
  • Tracking projects' progress, and notifying accordingly if things are delayed, or priorities reshuffled
  • Communicating about this schedule and its changes to: Marketing, Sales, Comms, and any other stakeholders
• Managing our workflow system
  • Housekeeping on content records, making sure all info is up to date
    • Make use of timeline- and deadline-related features, including setting up dependencies
  • Improving processes with automations
• Animation production
  • Tracking animator progress to help editorial team anticipate when new scripts will be needed
  • Managing freelance animators and voice actors, including:
    • Tracking progress on freelance animation projects
    • Liaising between freelancers and BrainPOP's legal team to produce contracts and SOW's
    • Tracking all documentation and payments to freelancers
• Feature production
  • Coordinating feature production to coincide with movie publication
  • Liaising between writers and learning designers
• Publishing
  • Ensuring that all content assets are ready when the movie is finished
  • Coordinating the publication of new and changed content
• General work
  • Conducting an audit of our processes to identify and improve inefficiencies
    • Standardize document formatting, modes of communication for various purposes, and other aspects of our processes to reduce confusion
  • Serving as the gatekeeper for assignments from other teams to ensure that workloads remain in check
  • Responding to/coordinating responses to users on content issues
  • Scheduling, inputting, and communicating about the featured movie calendar to all stakeholders
