As a Production Engineer at Perrigo, you will provide production engineering support for day-to-day operations of a lean six sigma pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Initiate and drive continuous improvement efforts in assigned process area.

As a Production Engineer at Perrigo, you will provide production engineering support for day-to-day operations of a lean six sigma pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Initiate and drive continuous improvement efforts in assigned process area.
Responsibilities:
1. Works on plant floor with the Specialists, Plant Manager, Supervisors, Engineering and other staff to troubleshoot technical problems with manufacturing and packaging equipment or process related problems in production areas.
2. Addresses safety incidents and initiate projects to improve work place safety.
3. Responsible for identifying root cause for product quality deviations, technical report writing, and implementing equipment and process improvement CAPAs.
4. Track, trend, and identify recurring downtime root causes, and leads continuous improvement projects aimed at productivity efficiency, product quality, changeovers, waste reduction etc..
5. Works on equipment related initiatives for new product development and launch efforts, in conjunction with R & D staff, to bring new products to market.
6. Collaborates with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to drive long term upgrades for equipment maintenance and improvements.
7. Collaborates and leads initiatives in cross-functional teams to achieve overall site-goals.
Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline required: Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of cGMPs and previous exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing highly preferred.
- Excellent problem solving skills, sound decision making skills, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and computer literacy.
- Knowledge and ability to apply Lean Sigma principles highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong listening skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply written procedures and standards governing manufacturing processes.

Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000
