The role
As a Production Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Our Vehicle Engineering business operates a whole life methodology to specialist vehicle conversions. This ranges from concept design and assessment, to manufacture and installation of customer specific equipment, through to maintenance and eventual decommissioning of the vehicle.
Day to day, you’ll assist in the production definition and development of mechanical and electrical vehicle solutions, for a variety of specialist vehicle projects from concept through to manufacture and support. These projects will support the MET police, MOD, ambulance service and coastguard.
Essential experience of the Production Engineer,
This role is full time and onsite in Walsall, some overseas travel may be required.
Qualifications for the Production Engineer,
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.

Vehicle conversions can include mechanical, electrical, bodywork, fabrication, welding and painting, and there are full and part time opportunities available across these skillsets. Whilst relevant experience and qualifications is preferred, you will also be considered if you have a practical aptitude and some experience working on vehicles. Required workwear, safety equipment and training will be provided.
