Job Title: Production Planning Manager

Job Location: Whitestown, IN


The preferred location is Whitestown, IN and we are open to relocating but we are also open to remote for the right candidate.


Job Summary:


The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for mapping and overseeing back-office activities related to production scheduling, material planning, logistics and labor scheduling for the Weaver Plant locations. This role will analyze and evaluate relevant business information to monitor critical decisions which may impact bottom line results. The position will be responsible for any other projects related to continuous improvement, process optimization, and supporting company initiatives.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the liaison with the manufacturing facilities, demand planning, and commercial groups through all aspects of the plan development and execution. Manage and review capacity assumptions used as inputs to the RCC process. Identify lines and brands at service risk due to capacity constraints; communicate risks and analysis across leaders in the organization. Collaborate with OBD and Supply Chain Network Optimization on future capacity expansion investments.
  • Continuous Improvement & Optimization: Leverage broad-based supply chain and planning expertise to proactively identify areas of opportunity across the supply chain. Assist in evaluating and lead strategic recommendations and implement change management to improve service, cost, and competitive advantage.
  • Miscellaneous Tasks: Participate in department and company initiatives requiring the expertise of Production Planning Manager. Activities could include but are not limited to back up for Senior Managers, new product introduction teams, IBM, or business initiatives.

Qualifications:


  • B.S. in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent preferred
  • MBA or Masters Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years progressive, related experience in supply chain in a consumer goods packaged goods manufacturing environment. Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to facilitate a team toward achieving business goals.

  • Excellent innovation skills and ability to adapt to changing business needs

  • Ability to interface with all levels in various departments
