About the Role
To manage and coordinate the production activities of shift (A, B, etc.,) meeting quantity and quality of products within specifications and costs as set by the plant.

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
• Provide visible leadership in manufacturing department operations
• Provide daily leadership, guidance and direction for direct and indirect reports
• Conduct meetings to determine production needs
• Examine production schedule to determine production scheduling
• Collaborate with plant manager and superintendent to solve work-related problems
• Shift leader
• Responsible for all production, quality, and safety of assigned shift
• Processes daily paperwork
• Pushes schedule
• Reduces OT
• Increases efficiency (machines and manhour per ton)
• Reduces scrap
• Timecards of supervisors
• Disciplines/accountability for late breaks, poor work, etc.
• Reinforce values
• Weekly standup
• Develop toolbox talks for supervisors to lead
• Other duties as assigned

About You
Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with demonstrated progression of increase responsibility
• Demonstrate ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, manufacturing operations, and modern technology
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
