Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Developer to join our cross-functional team. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing platform functionality, ensuring compliance, and implementing cost-effective, secure solutions for scalable application development in the banking and insurance sector.

Responsibilities:

• Platform Development and Expansion:
• Develop and implement platform concepts to expand functionality, enhance security, and meet compliance requirements.
• Create designs and develop core functionalities like network solutions and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
• Landing Zone Design:
• Architect and implement Landing Zones to support scalable application development and operational environments.
• Automation and Standardization:
• Design and deploy standardized automation modules (Service Templates) for seamless cloud service provisioning.
• Cost Management (FinOps):
• Develop and implement cost control concepts to ensure efficient platform resource utilization.
• Policy and Compliance Implementation:
• Create policy concepts and develop features to ensure platform adherence to best practices by development teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Actively participate in cross-functional teams focusing on strategic architecture, governance, security, FinOps, and education & enablement.
• Support onboarding, training, and general enablement of development teams.

Required Technical Skills:

• Cloud Computing:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of Landing Zone architecture, network design, and cloud security frameworks.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC):Understanding of SDLC principles, with experience in building scalable and maintainable platforms.Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

• Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with developing Service Templates and automating cloud service provisioning.

• Security and Compliance:

• Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for cloud environments, particularly in regulated industries like banking and insurance.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) and security best practices for the cloud.

• Cost Management (FinOps):

• Understanding of financial operations (FinOps) practices in cloud environments.
• Experience in developing cost-control strategies and implementing cost-optimization tools.

• Governance and Policy Development:

• Ability to design and enforce policy concepts to govern platform usage effectively.
• Knowledge of cloud governance frameworks and best practices

• Networking:

• Proficiency in network design for cloud-based platforms, including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and VPCs.
