Professional Services Engineer

About the Role

Kyligence is seeking a Professional Services Engineer who will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing customer solutions for Kyligence products in the field. This Professional Services engineer will provide technical consulting expertise to customers and help them better adapt Kyligence in their organization. The role is expected to be able to interface not only with customers but with our Kyligene sales team and engineering team, to help provide technical support for proof of concepts, drive improvements into Kyligence features and processes.

What You’ll Be Doing at Kyligence

• Be a trusted technical advisor for customers and help them make a success
• Understand the business, technical requirements, and pain points of our prospects
• Propose the right solution to solve our customers’ problems
• Look for opportunities to help the customer achieve their vision more effectively and efficiently.
• Execute the technical evaluation process and gain technical buy-in from prospects and their team
• Coordinate post-sales transitions to professional and customer service teams
• Work with product team and engineering team to build better solutions/products
• Participate in events and promotional activities such as trade shows and Meetups

What We’d like to See from You

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information management-related subject
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data warehouses, cloud data warehouses or datalake
• Experience with one or more cloud providers: Azure/AWS/Google Cloud
• Experience working with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop stack, etc.
• Must be comfortable with Linux operating systems
• Excellent communication skills. You can talk technology with engineers while explaining the business benefits to analysts and executives
• Experience with Apache Kylin or Kyligence is a big plus
• Able to travel to client sites for meetings and implementations
• Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills
