Professional Services Field Engineer

What you'll do

• Collaborate closely with clients to assess their data storage requirements and provide expert guidance on the selection, implementation, and maintenance of data storage solutions.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize various data storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms cloud storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration with clients' existing IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and system administrators, to ensure the smooth operation of data storage environments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data storage technologies and best practices, and provide technical updates and recommendations to clients.
• Assist in planning and executing data migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional customer service.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in the IT field, with a focus on data storage technologies, virtualization, networking and solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms such as VMware vSAN, Nutanix, or Cisco HyperFlex.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies, such as VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience with implementing hybrid cloud solutions, leveraging public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with leading data storage vendors such as Pure Storage, NetApp, Nutanix and HPE.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Industry and vendor certifications in relevant technologies from CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, NetApp and Nutanix are highly desirable.
