What You Will Do
The Strategic Deterrence Systems Program Office (ALDW-SDS) is seeking a high-level professional staff assistant with excellent customer service skills to join their team. The successful candidate will provide professional level administrative support for business, operational, and programmatic activities. Specific duties may include but are not necessarily limited to: tracking and conveying action items; generating and reviewing internal and external correspondence; developing and maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems; coordinating complex calendars, schedules, meetings and conference logistics and travel arrangements; participating and leading special projects; serving as a resource for staff and managers regarding established policies and procedures; conducts research and assembles data for assigned reports, presentations, and planning documents; and assists in the analysis, design and implementation of business, operational, and programmatic initiatives to ensure organizational objectives. The successful candidate will participate in AFNWC meetings to document accurate and professional note taking - this will include some travel.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Administrative Support: Advanced experience providing high-level support in a busy office environment requiring complex calendar management that will result in organization of multi-participant/multi-organizational meetings, domestic and foreign travel, procurement, meeting scheduling/logistics, visitor processing, accurate data entry and tracking, and time keeping. Experience with problem solving, developing, and implementing solutions, and innovating business practices to ensure customer satisfaction at all levels.

Organization and Time Management: Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, with frequent interruptions, and changing priorities in a dynamic and fluid working environment. Experience working with sensitive, personnel related information. Demonstrated record of dependability, availability, attendance, and punctuality.

Business Systems: Expert level knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly with Outlook, Excel, and Word), Oracle, Concur for domestic and foreign travel, and LANL's Classified Visit Request platform for incoming/outgoing visitor clearance requests. Ability to independently interpret data and information.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills while interacting effectively with internal customers and in partnership with internal support organizations. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Expert level grammatical proficiency, formatting, and editing capabilities is expected at this level.

Leadership: Demonstrated mentoring and teaming skills. Utilization of tact, diplomacy, and discretion in dealing with sensitive and in-confidence information.

Personal Leadership: Demonstrated ability to calmly manage interruptions and changing priorities; to complete assignments with or without established procedures; and be available and dependable.
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Active Q clearance - Applicants must currently hold, or have the ability to obtain a Q clearance

Experience with documenting accurate meeting notes for both internal and external meetings.

Ability to Identify and track action items resulting from high level customer meetings.
- Ability to work with, and knowledge of, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other government agencies.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States. Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.
Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
- Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law. A positive drug test for marijuana will result in termination of employment, even if the use was pre-offer.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the required period of continuous service, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader.
