EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Program Administrator in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is within our Defense and Intelligence Systems Division (DISD) located in Gaithersburg, MD.
The individual selected for this opportunity will directly support the Program Manager for the next generation protected satellite communications program – entailing reporting, scheduling, coordination, and deliverables. This program of record, with initial deployment in 2023, is strategic for US DoD and Hughes, involves cutting edge software technologies, and provides significant growth potential as the organizational scope expands.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for tracking schedules, action items, deliverables, risks, cost reporting and status

Facilitates program team meetings and manages minutes/actions
-
Works with Hughes and subcontractor teams to collect technical performance and cost data
-
Works with finance/cost group in support of cost plus reporting
-
Handles a mix of data/configuration management, and rudimentary accounting across MS Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Interface with program administration counterpart in customer community

Assist with budgeting, timekeeping, and program security
Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS)
-
Must be capable of obtaining and holding a U.S. government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in US DoD cost plus programs is highly preferred
-
Ability to interact with technical teams and interest in becoming familiar with satellite/ communications systems
-
PMP Certification (nice to have but not required)
-
Working knowledge of project/software process methodologies including Agile, Scaled Agile, Waterfall
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
