Job Summary:
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
The employee performs a wide variety of tasks which require the use of judgment and initiative to coordinate multiple tasks across CAS and University constituencies, providing key support to the CAS Dean and other College offices, especially in terms of coordinating logistics and activities for College initiatives and programs. Knowledge of the organization, programs, practices and procedures of the College is central to the performance of the duties directly related to the Dean, Associate Deans, and the College of Arts and Sciences. Staffing the front desk and functioning as the face of the College, this person greets and assesses the needs of
visitors, directing and referring them accordingly. The person in this position supervises the maintenance of comprehensive file and record systems for the College of Arts and Sciences,
which includes confidential materials, and serves as liaison for the Dean to a wide range of University offices and programs, particularly the Office of Academic Affairs, as well as external
entities, and must have the basic ability to operate computer systems, using word processing, database, spreadsheets and software packages. This person, additionally, takes responsibility for hiring, training, and supervising student employees.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility for organizing and administering the daily operations of the College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Manages correspondence, requisitions, vouchers, and similar documents as required. Implements and provides input based on knowledge and expertise on policies and procedures as established by the College and University.
  • Organizes, researches and administers numerous projects for the Dean and Associate Deans, including the CAS annual report, Dean's List, College events, scheduling for faculty searches, IBHE Program Reviews, and portfolios for faculty evaluation, retention and promotion reviews.
  • Requires knowledge of appropriate databases, spreadsheets and word processing software, and a high degree of ability to manage confidential matters.
  • Coordinates departmental reports/projects for the Dean, collects, consolidates and clarifies information; edits, summarizes, and verifies data; and ensures timely, accurate completion of Dean's Office reports and paperwork for submission to appropriate offices.
Minimal Qualifications:
1). Bachelor’s degree.
2). Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required.

Salary: $24.00
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision benefits, generous time off plans, and participation in the State Universities Retirement System.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on departmental needs)
