RISE Memphis, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to improve the community by providing financial literacy tools and incentives to help families build assets and make better financial choices. Since its inception in 1999, RISE has empowered people to become financially self-sufficient by building and sustaining human and financial assets. It is our vision to transform the financial well-being of low-income working people, thereby improving the community.
To that end, RISE has an opening for a part-time, program coordinator in its Goal Card program. The Goal Card program teaches public school students how to achieve academic, financial and life goals. The incentive program provides structured academic mentoring and support from adult volunteers who lend their time and insight to provide ongoing encouragement and guidance. The program serves 425 students annually.
Under the direct supervision of the Goal Card program manager, the program coordinator is responsible for recruiting students in grades 5-12 to become program participants. The coordinator serves as a coach/mentor for youth to ensure their success and supports school teachers and administrators. The coordinator schedules, coordinates and facilitates financial literacy workshops; establishes and maintain participant case files; ensures accuracy and completeness of files. The coordinator conducts program-related research. The coordinator plans and coordinates field trips and serves as a chaperone. The coordinator produces monthly activity reports that document services and outcomes. Performs other responsibilities and activities that may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
