THE OPPORTUNITY & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Within the Program Management Office (PMO), the Program Manager will be responsible for multi-disciplinary and highly complex cross functional initiatives. Sitting within the Office of the CEO the Program Manager will report directly to the Chief of staff.

The Program Manager will also act as coach and mentor to project teams that have aggressive timelines using Agile approaches to ensure business value is achieved. The successful candidate will have excellent logic and problem solving skills and a drive to make a difference. They will be responsible for teaching and enforcing the rules of Scrum and Kanban, removing impediments for project teams and acting as an interface with executive leadership. They will work closely with management to provide status, recommendations and act as key figures throughout all governance activities. Must have the ability to motivate teams and lead them to continuous improvement. This person will work effectively with the CoS to build a high performing team of project managers and analysts.

Key areas of responsibility

• Structures and manages integrated, multi-track projects and/or programs of multiple projects

• Innate capability to create order out of chaos

• Leads the development and tracking of multiple project plans and Backlogs

• Establishes and maintains processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle

• Assesses and manages risk within, and across, multiple projects

• Builds and structures the project team to ensure maximum performance

• Clarifies and communicates project objectives and success criteria

• Ensures key project and program-wide roles and responsibilities are defined

• Ensures the use of best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects

• Drive delivery satisfaction with key business stakeholders and manage peer-level relationships (expectations, communications, negotiations, escalation, feedback, etc.).

• Lead teams in establishing and following effective processes to manage planning, development, and deployment

• Represent the team’s strategic priorities and negotiate with partners across the organization to align schedules and resources

• Coordinate product roadmaps and drive teams to meet commitments based on the plan

• Establish an effective review and retrospective approach on an appropriate frequency

• Create and collect metrics to measure success of the program in terms of adoption of agile practices, software quality and most importantly, the resulting cycle time improvement

• Indirectly manage cross functional program teams
