Programmer Analyst I

Position Description:

Purpose

Under general supervision, assists in the development, maintenance and testing of large databases and basic applications. Perform statistical programming tasks on large databases.

Primary Functions

• Performs statistical and database programming in current languages such as Python and SQL.
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, modifies and documents operating systems from detailed instructions and specifications.
• Assists in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
• Participates in system analysis of a narrow scope.
• Analyzes user needs and develop software solutions.
• Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
• Analyzes requirements, and maintains tests and integrates application components.
• Receives formal training and on-the-job instruction in conjunction with a progression of increasingly more difficult work assignments involving the flow charting, coding, debugging and documentation of application programs.

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

Knowledge of computers, electronics, digital media, databases, applications, software development, risk management, and information security.

Customer support, systems analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving, and listening skills.

Preferred Schedule:
M-F 8-5 pm

Minimum Required Education: Associate’s degree

Minimum Required Experience: 1 year
