University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, full time "non-exempt", benefited position through 9/30/2023 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $3,813.26 to $4,506.58

Program Summary:
CAE in Cybersecurity Community National Center
The CAE in Cybersecurity (CAE-C) Community National Center grant is administered through California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). Focused on the development of a robust cybersecurity workforce, the CAE Community National Center will offer three primary functions to the 390+ CAE-C institutions and projects: Provides technical and logistical support for CAE events, activities, and curriculum. Provides a portal of CAE resources for the community, geographic regions, and the Nation as a whole. Engages and facilitates strategic initiatives for the Nation in the areas of research, student and faculty development, diversity, and other workforce development activities
Work Schedule
40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the Program Manager, the Project Coordinator will work independently to:
Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Works with program and project managers to develop the organization's budget. Reviews managers' budget proposals and funding requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws and other regulations. Combines program and department budgets into a consolidated organizational budget. The Budget Coordinator maintains the Centers budgets, completes forms and contracts, finalizes purchasing, files periodic reports, ensures compliance with federal regulations, helps with travel assistance claims and acts as the liaison with the CSUSB grants team to ensure grant finances are spent appropriately.
- Communities of Practice (CoP) and CAE Regional HUBS (CRHs) Coordination:
Requires travel (estimated at 5-8 trips per year), visit and track CRH and CoP progress, maintain the list of event resources, and provide marketing and event dissemination and reporting. As part of the CRH & CoP activities, this position will also coordinate CRH & CoP online collaboration and working groups.
Additionally, they will ensure collaboration and communication throughout the CRH & COPs and ensure resources are
being shared throughout the CAE-C Community. Interfacing with the CAE Program office is essential.
- Subaward Contracting Coordination:
The Sub Award Specialist assists the team by overseeing the sub-award and contractor agreements. Is responsible for coordinating with the CSUSB grant teams, grant teams for all subawards, and PMO Office regarding all contract changes and modifications. Assists with all reporting, data collection, and sub-award communication as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Applicants must have a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, along with a working
knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices
Applicants must have the ability to accurately maintain records and files
Applicants must have strong organizational skills, be very detail-oriented, along with the ability to follow directions,
take initiative, be flexible, can multi-task and with minimal supervision make decisions on a day-to-day basis
Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Applicants must have the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures with minimal supervision, and use judgment
and discretion to act when precedents do not exist, along with the ability to troubleshoot most office administration
problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area
Applicants must have the ability to learn, interpret, and apply a variety of academic and
organizational policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: AND equivalent to three (3) years of experience in general office administrative and clerical work
- Other: Applicants must have experience using standard office software programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with students
Experience maintaining records and documentation
Experience with grants and grant funded projects
