As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in improving the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of the organization's equipment and infrastructure. You will lead internal teams to drive early management of the projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional external teams to ensure successful project execution, adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will develop communication plans and report to stakeholders on your projects.
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of capital expenditure (Capex) projects, including new installations, upgrades, equipment replacements, and process improvements.
- Develop and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments to evaluate project viability and prioritize initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), project schedules, and budgets.
- Manage projects budgets and provide regular reports on project financial status.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices in maintenance and engineering to continuously improve skills and knowledge, also recommend and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar role, preferably in capital expenditure projects within manufacturing, or related industries. Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) will be considered a plus.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles, lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies and relevant regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, including their components and operation principles.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and work on many projects at the same time.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence team members towards goals.
