Project Management Intern (DSP)

EDF Renewables Distributed Solutions provides industry-leading, cost-effective development, engineering, construction, and operations of solar and storage projects. Solutions are customized for utilities, co-ops, landowners, communities, and institutions. The Distribution-Scale Power team specializes in community solar and environmentally sensitive sites and has developed over 1,550 MW of solar and storage projects across the United States.

Our dedicated team of developers, engineers, construction managers, O&M service providers, and finance and legal professionals are focused on making solar generation accessible, affordable, and responsive to the needs of our clients and the communities in which they operate.

The Project Management Intern will learn the project management process by working with experienced Project Managers and Project Engineers. The Project Management Intern will develop an understanding of large-scale solar design and construction methods. The Project Management Intern will support a project team as they plan and execute large solar PV projects. The Intern will report to the Associate Director of Program Management in the Columbia, MD office. This is a temporary, full-time position for Spring-Summer 2024 or Summer-Fall 2024, with five-month minimum duration.

Location: This position will be based in our Columbia, MD, office. We seek local candidates for this in-office position (remote work not available).

• Learn about PV equipment, design drawings, and design specifications
• Create project plans
• Provide support in the solar equipment procurement process
• Participate in project team design reviews and problem solving
• Learn the Distributed Solutions project management process
• Create project process documentation
• Other duties as assigned

• Pursuing a four-year degree program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction/Project Management or related
• Rising Junior status
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing work in Renewable Energy as a career
