Project Manager 2

WesTech Engineering, LLC designs, develops, and provides process solutions for water and wastewater treatment, liquids/solids separation, and biological treatment needs. We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager 2 who is responsible to coordinate internal and external resources to fulfill contractual project requirements and communicate with customers on design, schedule and financial issues. Responsible for entire job sections or sub-sections as assigned by Manager. Typically manages job section volume less than $5,000,000 annually and individual job sections smaller than $2,000,000.
Essential Job Functions

  • Closely maintain job section budgets and margins.
  • Consistently meet job section milestone dates.
  • Maintain project manager checklists for a moderate to large number of job sections.
  • Lead contact with the customer in coordinating job section special needs.
  • Update Systems Lead Project Manager at weekly project coordination meetings on the status and progress of job section for inclusion in the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with Group Leaders and/or Systems Lead Project Managers for proper re-sourcing on projects.
  • Conduct detail review meetings.
  • Provide assistance to customer through installation and start-up period.
  • Handle field problem resolutions.
  • Review a job section cost estimate.
  • Lead back charge negotiations up to $2500 or ½% of the contract value of project section, whichever is less.
  • Perform basic start up and operator training on group products, including basic process training.
  • Understand basic project related calculations.
  • *Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Three or more years of related experience.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time to coordination meetings with customers, or to supervise installation, commissioning, and trouble-shooting activities at job sites.
  • Possess excellent computer skills: Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Dedicated to see a project through to completion.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to think and act proactively.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong math skills, trigonometry and geometry.
  • Must have strong communication skills, including; clear verbal communication, logical written communication, and ability to listen and integrate what was said.
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • *Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification or Project Management Bachelors or higher degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with general filtration equipment or membrane filtration.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solidworks.
  • Intermediate math skills, including trigonometry and geometry skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
