Position Summary
:

Akoya is seeking a Project Manager to work within our new Clinical Prototyping Applications (CPA) Group in Marlborough MA.


CPA sits within Translational & Scientific Affairs, a dynamic team that engages with important strategic collaborators in academia and in the pharmaceutical industry. CPA is building tools that facilitate adoption of the Phenoptics platform, leveraging insights from collaborations, Akoya/Pharma partnerships, and internal R&D.


The Project Manager will engage in collaborative and partnership opportunities as they are identified, work with CPA Management to develop strategic goals and timelines, and drive project growth by managing key progress points, coordinating associated Akoya personnel, and providing a primary point of contact for collaborators.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Achieve partnership and project goals through adherence to timelines and completion of key milestones, deliverables, and oversee authored publications.
  • Generate proper tracking systems and metrics reporting to manage objectives and timelines and inform senior leadership on project status.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for collaborators, coordinate recurring meetings, and prepare agendas and presentations for internal and external parties.
  • Proactively communicate and work with field and sales teams along with additional third-party sources to ensure alignment and understanding of deliverables and any potential limitations.
  • Support the development and delivery of associated applications-based initiatives as they pertain to clinical prototyping and commercial endeavors.
  • Contribute to the generation of scientific content and marketing engagements (ex. publications, posters, webinars).
  • Accountable for meeting scheduled completion dates and for providing timely feedback, demonstrating proactive and original thinking in execution of tasks involved with all projects.

Skills & Requirements

  • Requires a BS with 5-7 years of experience, a MS with 3-5 years of experience or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience in a Life Sciences related area in an academic or bio/pharma environment. Previous project/alliance management experience is desired.
  • Experience with immunofluorescent staining and imaging, preferably with multiplex IHC/IF using the Phenoptics and PhenoCycler workflows.
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: IHC, IF, histology, digital/quantitative pathology, immunology, immuno-oncology, cancer biology and biomarker discovery/validation.
  • Highly organized with attention to details and excellent information management, time management, and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated and energetic with a results-focused approach to achieving daily goals and activities. Ability to learn quickly and work effectively, both independently and within a team environment
  • Experience with SharePoint, and project tracking software such as MS Project or Smartsheet, is desired.
