The Project Manager will work closely with the Global AdMat Commercial, Technical, Strategic Marketing, Operations, Purchasing, regional Operational Marketing teams (OMM), and regional Product Portfolio Managers (PPM) to lead projects supporting strategic innovation programs aligned with the overall Advanced Materials strategy.He or she will lead all phases of the innovation project from ideation through promotion and commercialization ensuring all functional leads are engaged and aligned for successful execution.He or she will also serve as the senior subject matter expert (SME) of globally recognized project management methodologies and mentor others to develop their project management skills.
In summary, as the Project Manager, you will be:

Project management of specific major innovation projects from ideation through launch and first year of sales in the Stage Gate process.

Establish and execute clear and robust milestone driven project plans for major innovation projects.

Schedule and conduct regular project updates with cross functional teams to review, track and coordinate project activities.

Identify risks and barriers, work with stakeholders to develop and execute mitigation plans to maximize chance of delivery, escalate issues and propose resolutions.

Provide monthly reports on status and progress of major innovation projects.

Ensure data in all tools and dashboards related to specific innovation projects are updated and maintained.

Closely collaborate with stakeholders of SM, OM and Technology and Technology to ensure projects are adequately resourced.

Provide support or input to Stakeholders to facilitate prioritization of projects within the Innovation Program.

Lead and support the development and training of other colleagues in the Stage Gate process and project management.

Provide recommendations to position AdMat’s future global portfolio towards an accelerated growth of specialty products.

Provide insight and recommendations for organizational or process improvements to accelerate the commercialization of innovation.

As needed, present & provide updates and reports regarding the product and project portfolios.
Required Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or any business discipline in marketing or product management.
Experiences
-
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing or managing projects. Background in marketing, sales, manufacturing, or technical support.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
-
Project- and/or product management experience, working across multiple functions.
-
Experience and know-how in the aerospace, automotive, or adhesives market is an asset.

Occasional domestic and international travel up to 25% of the time.
