The role you’ll contribute:
The Project Manager supports the operations of the Process Improvement (PI) and Business Support team by helping manage Revenue Cycle (RC) improvement projects across RC Enterprise. The Project Manager is responsible for managing all phases of the project life cycle by providing regular project status reports to relevant stakeholders, preparing time and cost estimates for assigned projects, reevaluating resource needs among existing projects, tracking projects against proposed timelines, updating project plans to reflect actual progress, and resolving and escalating encountered issues with respective stakeholders and the Project Management leadership. This role requires extensive collaboration with Revenue Cycle department leaders and other PI and Business Support teams to understand goals, manage strategic initiatives, and accelerate the delivery and implementation of department projects. The Project Manager will adhere to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance standards, as well as rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Manages all phases of project life cycle for assigned projects across the enterprise, ensuring that project requirements are clearly defined, and forecasted timelines and project objectives are met
- Creates comprehensive project plans, encompassing both IT deliverables (as applicable) and business deliverables. Responsible for all communication throughout the project life cycle, to include technical and non-technical resources attached to the project. Communication format may be verbal, written, or in presentation format, may include communicating status updates to top level Executive and Senior Leadership.
- Oversees and is constantly aware of project status, anticipating potential roadblocks that may affect project completion, communicating issues with all levels of project stakeholders. Responsible to ensure projects are completed timely, remaining scope of project goal and directives, and that all quality reviews are passed in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Forecasts, monitors, and manages day-to-day operational and all aspects of project and scope. Conducts risk assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies to make informed project recommendations and estimate return on investment.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously, keeping priorities aligned with overall organizational goals and initiatives. Balances priorities by taking ownership and planning tasks related to individual projects under direction of PMO
Leadership. Effectively communicates and presents to management, both internally and externally, oral and written documentation of work performed, status of project flow, and projected outcomes and trending.
- Develops quantitative and qualitative measures to monitor the project's results and identify areas for additional improvement. Consistently looks for opportunities to reduce redundant tasks as well as increasing efficiency with projects and PMO standards and process.
- Facilitates the coordination of interdepartmental communication across the enterprise, when applicable, to review project status, keep teams informed of changes and plan future activities Collaborates with various departments to map existing processes, conduct readiness assessments, develop approaches to effectively implement change, identify necessary resources, and complete projects
- Works with PI and Business Support teams (including, but not limited to, Vendor Management, Automation, and Analytics teams) and Revenue Cycle leaders to coordinate small to large scale Revenue Cycle projects and transformations as prioritized by Revenue Cycle leadership
- Collaborates with the Analytics team to determine the KPIs that will be tracked and visualized on shared dashboards to assess project risks, report project status, and visualize progress over time
- Reviews dashboards with relevant Revenue Cycle stakeholders to discuss key findings, identify operational risks, and guide discussion improvement opportunities that enhance and accelerate the delivery and implementation of projects
- Collaborates with the Change Management team to ensure project impacts and change communications are managed and delivered effectively
- Participates in internal and/or external training programs and keeps abreast of latest project management, change management and process improvement trends and technologies (e.g., AI-based automation capabilities, agile, data analytics, etc.); ensures that current trends and leading practices are being incorporated across all AdventHealth project management processes
- Adheres to quality standards and procedures; reviews quality assurance documentation and compliance applicable to assigned projects
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:
- Comprehensive knowledge of project lifecycle and associated processes and methods
- Comfortable in leading and presenting project material to various levels of leadership
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem solving, and planning skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in written form
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.) and collaboration tools
- familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various groups and departments
- Ability to adapt to change, balance priorities, and use suitable judgement
- Ability to effectively learn and perform multiple tasks, and organize work in a systematic and efficient manner
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Working knowledge of front, middle, and back end Revenue Cycle technology and processes Knowledge of budget planning, including budget to actual variance analysis for projects
- Knowledgeable of change management processes
- Knowledgeable of Lean Six Sigma processes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, information technology, or related field OR Two (2) years of project management or related experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, information technology, or related field
