The Project Manager completes structural analysis, prepares plans and specifications and reviews contractor submittals, shop drawings and RFI's. Independent problem solving, decision-making and the implementation of standard engineering procedures are used to direct the flow of engineering work as well as overseeing production work of junior engineers and BIM technicians. The role coordinates structural engineering design with the client, project Architects, municipal agencies and other design team members and forecasts workload and schedules for project team and manage communication and documentation for the project.
This position is classified as salaried, exempt. The hiring salary range for this role is $115,000-$125,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Essential functions:
- Designs, formulates plans and supervises construction projects.
- Facilitate the required design and documentation of projects.
- Assistance in cost and personnel estimating as well as proposal preparation.
- Supervise the work of junior engineers and participates in project staffing discussions.

Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday with the local standard business hours. Overtime is expected when needed to meet job demands.

Required education and experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer’s (PE) license.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design of mid to high-rise buildings, including project management.
- Ability to perform and supervise the design and analysis of mid to high rise buildings utilizing software packages such as ETABS, RAM, RISA, and SAFE.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to work in AutoCAD.
- Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.
- Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving and team skills.
- Knowledge of ETABS, SAFE, AutoCad, PCA or other similar design tools.

Preferred Requirements:
- MS degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field.
