Position: Engineering Project Scheduler

Duration: 18 Months
The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the project’s “Master Plan,” and therefore must work collaboratively with the Project Development Team at project inception to establish the key milestones and overall structure of the detailed schedule, conforming to the appropriate master schedule template. The Project Scheduler creates full schedule detail and functionality by working closely with the End-to-End Manager, Project Manager, Project Execution Team, Construction, Commissioning and Startup Teams, Factory personnel and external construction contractors. The Project Scheduler applies advanced knowledge of engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning in concert with standard industry practices to create a comprehensive, logic-based planning tool using MS Project software.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning using Microsoft Project software.
- Determine clear schedule logic, constraints and task durations using relevant project experience and input from task owners and/or teams.
- Prepare near-term lookahead and critical path schedules. Engage and lead project team members in analysis and responsive actions.
- Assign project costs, personnel resources and material quantities to schedule tasks in accordance with NIMT Work Breakdown Structure.
- Collaborate with contract design and construction schedulers to prioritize and enforce schedule and reporting requirements.
- Perform regular transfer of key milestone and other logically dependent data between contractor and NPE schedules.
- Support field construction with on-site schedule management and progress monitoring/reporting for and contractor schedules.
- Collaborate with NPE reporting and administrative personnel to provide appropriate source data for portfolio reporting tools.
- Review engineer, architect and contractor prepared schedules for content and application.
- Develop and maintain earned value analysis to monitor contract construction activity.
- Prepare reports to confirm progress against schedule and to enable contractor invoice approval.
- Monitor and report cost expenditures and material installation against earned value. Develop and maintain project cash flow curves.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
- Experience in Microsoft Project is required.
- Functional knowledge of Primavera P6 software as a 'hands-on' user is a plus.
- Experience in engineering/procurement/construction project execution work processes and activity sequences is required.
- Experience in understanding and applying earned value management is required.
- BS or BA is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five (5) years of related project experience
- Experience in managing projects through all phases of design, procurement and construction

Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
