The Role:

We are seeking a Senior EDI Software Engineer who is experienced in developing robust software solutions from scratch for handling large-scale transmission of ANSI EDI files, specifically in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare-related EDI transactions such as 837, 277, 999, and 835 messages. Additionally, knowledge of Health Level 7 (HL7) standards is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transition ANSI EDI code from current language to another. 

• Design and implement software solutions for transmitting millions of ANSI EDI messages monthly.

• Maintain code set and perform daily custom EDI modifications engineering tickets. 

• Balance both adding to the infrastructure/code set to add features to allow our users to build out their own EDI custom rules while also engineering one-off rules site by site as needed/daily once live. 

• Develop and maintain systems that meet stringent healthcare industry standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and frameworks.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant EDI protocols.

• Adapt and transition between programming languages and technologies as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience in developing EDI software solutions from scratch, specifically within the healthcare sector.

• Strong familiarity with 837, 277, 999, and 835 EDI transactions.

• Knowledge of HL7 standards.

• Proficiency in PHP or a comparable programming language, with a willingness to learn new languages as needed.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new programming languages and manage transitions effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
