Property Claims Examiner II - CAT/Spikes Team (Work from Home)

CAT/Spikes Team Position

**Extended hours may be required during catastrophes or spike claims volume. Flexibility to travel on short notice, up to 50% of the time, and ability to be on call required.

**if selected for this role, in addition to the 10% added to your base hourly rate you are eligible for while on the CAT/Spike Team, the Company is adding a temporary, incentive of 5% to your base hourly rate, for a total incentive of 15%. The temporary incentive amount is reviewed annually and the Company reserves the right to abandon, amend or modify the incentive at anytime.

Position Summary:
The primary job function is to evaluate, negotiate, and settle medium to high value claims in a timely and efficient manner as to prevent unnecessary expense to the Company and policyholders.

Essential Job Functions:

Provides complete, courteous and timely customer service to aid in the settlement process and maintain customer satisfaction.
Maintains knowledge of current Company policy, claim developments, procedural changes and current values.
Maintains comprehensive documentation of claim information for assigned files.
Maintains diary of files in pending and update file information to ensure accurate record of claims; continually reviews and monitors progress and expense of claims in pending.
Issues settlement payments based on predetermined payment authority and obtain appropriate releases for adjusted claims.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required and/or completion of an in-house training program

Experience:

Minimum of 3-years of experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
