Description

The Specialist-Patient Safety (PSS) develops and administers programs and interventions that support a safe environment for patients of Providence Health & Services Oregon. Through proactive risk assessment, event investigation, and data analysis, the PSS identifies risk areas and mitigation strategies. The PSS provides consultation and education to members of the care delivery team to help create an environment of continuous quality and process improvement.

  • This is a Hybrid position - 80% onsite / 20% Remote
  • This position will require occasional travel to PWF (Willamette Falls), PMH (Milwaukie), and PNB (Newberg)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • 5 years Acute care experience in a progressively responsible position requiring contact with various departments is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with patient safety analysis techniques, including root cause analysis, cause and effect analysis, failure mode and effects analysis and proactive risk assessment as applied to the healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Upon hire: Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Health Care Quality (CPHQ).
